About Me

Aside from my professional interest, I have had a passion for traveling and sports since I can ever remember. The very first trip I went on was when I was three months old! Ever since then, I have been a traveling addict, trying to go to a new place at least once a year. I have been to 16 different countries over 5 continents. My next goal is to go to Australia and Antarctica to try and go to all 7 continents. However, my favorite place I went was Thailand and Laos. I went to these to countries for 3 weeks with nothing but a backpack with me. With a group of 15 juniors  in high school, I traveled and stayed with villages that were 2 hours away from any city. It was great because I got to fully immerse myself in the culture and learn new things not only about other cultures but about myself.

Getting involved with Santa Clara’s community is very important to me. This motivated me to get a job here on campus that helps the Santa Clara community! I work as a student caller in the development office. Here, we call alumni, families, and friends of the university to tell them about the new and exciting things happening on campus. It is a great job because you get to hear about their Santa Clara experience as well as receive advice from them. Finally, we try to secure gifts to help the university continue to provide the best education it can offer. Throughout my year and a half working, I have secured $29,010 for the university. Not only is this a gratifying job, but it also strengthens and teaches me strong communication skills and how to interact with other people because that is constantly something I am doing on the job.

Another way I get involved with the Santa Clara community was through my fraternity. With the help of Tau Kappa Epsilon’s regional staff, our fraternity has experienced not only tremendous success but also growth since it began in three years ago. Collectively, we have raised over $3,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, completed around 1500 hours of community service, and donated a little over 100 units of blood to American Red Cross through annual blood drives. I currently have the honor of serving on the Executive Board as the Social Chair this year, which has developed a handful of business and leadership skills along the way. After many years of hard work, we received our charter to become a nationally recognized fraternity on November 1st, 2014 and are now known as Tau Kappa Epsilon’s Upsilon-Omega chapter.
