His name is Angel Luis Vigaray and the homage took place at the <em>Ateneo de Madrid<\/em>, in the ancient building that has become a gathering place for recognized\u00a0poets. It is a freezing winter, but the homage to Angel Luis Vigaray was anything but cold. A large group of enthusiastic poets gathered to pay homage and to celebrate his life and work.<\/p>\n<p>Angel Luis Vigaray (1951-2009), poet, exquisite designer of\u00a0literary journals such as <em>Malv\u00eds<\/em> and <em>Versi\u00f3n Celeste<\/em>, was also\u00a0the director of the prestigious collection\u00a0 <em>Signos<\/em>, published by <em>Huerga y Fierro<\/em>publisher house. \u00a0In a text of auto presentation (1989), he wrote, \u201cI write poems dictated by\u00a0some obscure muse. My poems, always in the process of being polished but never increasing, were part of my book, <em>Grama.<\/em> The dream of my life is to know what do I live for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A fragment from <em>Grama<\/em><em>: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You escaped. Where to.<br \/>\nThrough the fear of your mouth,<br \/>\nWith silence in your arms,<br \/>\nToward the beach<br \/>\nWhere I found you.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_500\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/writeherewritenow\/files\/2011\/12\/Cover-of-Grama5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-500\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-500\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/writeherewritenow\/files\/2011\/12\/Cover-of-Grama5-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-500\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cover of Grama<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The poet Angel Guinda says that Vigaray\u00b4s book of poetry,\u00a0<em>Grama <\/em>(1995), is a \u201chomage to love in the midst of pain, taken with stoic rigor, without regrets.\u201d\u00a0For the director of <em>El Alambique<\/em>, Jos\u00e9 Cereijo, this unique book is not about games but a clear search for\u201cauthenticity.\u201d \u00a0 Angel Rodriguez Abad wrote\u00a0 that Vigaray, \u201cwith his beautiful collection of perfect dreams, added real beauty to a prosaic world.\u201d\u00a0 He ended the homage with a quote from Vigaray. In reference to the many poets Vigaray helped to publish, Angel Rodriguez Abad said that \u201cthey are bright suns irradiating beauty and eternal poetry toward the universe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>A meditation for the last days of 2011<\/em>: What do you live for? \u00a0 Do you live your life in an authentic way?
