The Metropolitan Community Church of San Jose has successfully used their acceptance of the LGBT community to strengthen the solidarity of their own church. Sadly, due to circumstances out of their control, this particular branch in San Jose was unable to continue.
I, as an unbiased observer, attended the final two services of this church to get a sense of how this group used their faith to bond together to provide a support system for those who could not find it elsewhere.
