In the wise words of Jean Valjean from the musical\u00a0“Les Miserable,” the phrase ‘Who am I?’\u00a0<\/em>is a crucial one that ponders on the questions surrounding identity crisis. In a broader sense, everyone is trying to find a purpose in life, and is constantly\u00a0trying to discover their place in the world of today.\u00a0As a college student who is just starting to figure out what he wants in life, I do\u00a0find myself reflecting on my life decisions and the path I am currently walking on. Though I have made a lot of achievements, I have only been\u00a0defined by these accomplishments and experiences, while there are still so many other interests and aspirations I have, that can potentially help me further find\u00a0what\u00a0I really want my purpose in life to be. Sometimes it may be hard to distinguish the identity I maintain, but I believe that there\u00a0is a difference between “who you are” and “who you want to be.” Just for some background info, I am a student at Santa Clara University who enjoys dancing, and singing. I was born and spent most of my years in San Francisco, before moving to Taipei, Taiwan at the age of 14. There I have gained a multi-cultural experience that has given me a broader sense of the world we live in. But again, there are not many people like me, which makes it even harder to identify myself, and especially describe who I am to others.
