The Windows update issue that blocks the USB drivers is back. I’ve had 3 calls in the past week. One at 874 Lafayette and 2 in Learning commons. This has been seen on the computers in the learning commons.

1- Uninstall KB2862330 but don’t restart the computer after the uninstall.

2- Do a search for updates in Windows updates.

3- Click on ‘Important Updates’ and find KB2862330 and uncheck and hide update by right clicking on the update and selecting ‘Hide Update’. (Don’t install updates yet)

4- Run another search for Windows updates and check ‘Important Updates’ to make sure KB2529073 shows up.

5- Install all updates and restart computer after updates are installed.
