{"id":86,"date":"2017-06-10T01:51:05","date_gmt":"2017-06-10T01:51:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/scero\/?p=86"},"modified":"2017-06-10T14:40:26","modified_gmt":"2017-06-10T14:40:26","slug":"distractions-in-college","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/scero\/2017\/06\/10\/distractions-in-college\/","title":{"rendered":"Distractions in College"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey reader&#8217;s, since I&#8217;ve been talking about some of my homework assignments for English, I thought I should talk about distractions, the things that pull me away from homework.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-cNlW3w5fLCs\/U7gZnzc4XvI\/AAAAAAAAVgs\/be82qLQo_hg\/s1600\/stressed.gif\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Blogspot<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In high school, I was a pretty efficient worker. I could study for hours without needing a break. However, in college I have found distractions are a bigger problem.<\/p>\n<p>See, in high school, after the school day I would go\u00a0<em>home<\/em>. When I was home, the only thing to distract me were my siblings, my parents and my dogs (well that is a big distraction). I couldn&#8217;t watch TV on weekdays and I wouldn&#8217;t hang out with friends unless all of my homework was done (once in a blue moon).<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn1.theodysseyonline.com\/files\/2015\/10\/03\/635795066257337444-1201821072_lib%20.gif\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Odyssey<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In college, it is a whole other story. I can watch TV whenever I want as I don&#8217;t have parents looming over me. Furthermore, friends are always around. Heck, my roommate is around.
