Participate in Research

Research like ours would not be possible without the help of families, schools and child-focused organizations in our community. If you would like to get involved please do!

For Parents:

Our volunteer pool is open to children of all ages and abilities from newborn to adolescent. Signing up only takes a minute, and just means you  would be willing to be contacted when there is a study up and running for your child’s age group, it doesn’t oblige you to actually participate in any one study – you can decide that once you hear more about it. Please click on the link here to join our volunteers:

Or if you have questions, or would like additional information before deciding to join our volunteer pool, please feel free to email us directly at childresearch@scu.edu

For Community Organizations and Schools:

We believe our work offers important insights into how we, as a community, can create the best environments and opportunities for our children to grow and thrive.  At SCU giving back to our community partners is a crucial part of our mission:

  • We are committed to sharing with our community what we learn from the research that we do.
  • We offer community education talks and resources for local families on relevant topics.
  • And, we and our SCU student researchers enjoy organizing age-appropriate learning activities on-site for kids of all ages and abilities (e.g., from story times to science projects)

If your organization (e.g., school, community group, children’s program) would like to partner with us, please let us know. You can contact us directly at childresearch@scu.edu for more information.
