Watching the video like a girl by always is the feeling I got when I was doing my archival research about the history of women at Santa Clara. I find it very powerful and full of Happiness when videos come out like this because the expression” to be a girl” is often looked at very weak and not strong. Always is teaching girls to not be put down with what is stereotyped with women. For example women throwing like a girl as in not throwing hard as in a man is so masculine and a girl so send them in and that women can not throw as hard as boys can. I can relate to this because out of all my years growing up I was always the athletic one I was always the tomboyish and because of my gender as a girl I was always consider not fast or not strong enough around the boys that I hung out with.

Teaching

I love teaching women at a young age that they can be all that they can be because they are a woman and if they have the right to throw like a girl because throwing like a girl is more than throwing like a boy. Throwing like a boy is the average as in throwing like a girl is the new change. There were women that thought it was unusual. Being a girl you deal with struggle and if i was taught at a young age to be confident i would be far more happy. Teaching girls to e confident or teaching anyone to be happy and love yourself is huge. Many schools should teach kids to love themselves.

The Unusual

Santa Clara University one of the women had quoted that it was unusual for women to play sports. At this time I can see that men were always the strong Breadwinners and women were just now up-and-coming making the change. But the real question is if men can do it why can’t women do it.

The power behind being a girl it’s something that any woman should take pride in whether it is being the first woman on the moon or being the first woman athlete to being the first woman painter. Being a woman stands for strength and it should not be looked down upon. So as I question that one girl who said it is odd for girls to be playing sports. Because who wouldn’t want to be a part of something amazing and something that is life-changing because those who were a part of something that is life-changing change lives for everybody. They changed my life they changed the girls that I play with lives.

What Men can do Women can do

This led me to think about all the things that women do that men cannot do. Now I might sound rude by pointing out all the things that men can’t do but it’s not rude because men point out all the things women cannot do. As much as women can raise children single-handedly so can men. And as much as women can run marathons so can men. Those men who are bodybuilders and can lift tons of pounds, so can women. No matter what women do or men do equality is something that is important to all. it is not fun being the gender put dow because in the end we are both hard working.

To be a Girl https://youtu.be/XjJQBjWYDTs While thinking about my last archival research I got to realizing how many people over look how much women have fought.
