Scene opens with Marcus laying down next to Ange in their tent. Ange is laying with her eyes wide open, with a look on her face indicating she is lost in thought. Marcus is sleeping. Marcus is tall with a broad, strong frame. He has dark brown hair with green eyes. Ange is petite with long black hair and intensely blue eyes. Marcus begins to stir, opens his eyes and looks up at Ange. Camera is looking down at them from a side angle.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know\u2026 I didn\u2019t really sleep too well.<\/p>\n
\u00a0(She sits up and looks down to the ground, as if something is troubling her.)<\/em><\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n \u00a0Aw I\u2019m sorry. Are you okay? You look upset.<\/p>\n \u00a0ANGE<\/p>\n I\u2019m fine. I was just thinking about Zeb and Masha. Masha seemed so uptight and worried about stuff. I know that must be her nature, but she seemed so worried about something. Almost like she was scared.<\/p>\n (Pause)<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>\u2026and Zeb seemed so relaxed and happy. Almost giddy about something. I got a weird feeling from him, Marcus. Like creeped out when he was sitting with us.<\/p>\n \u00a0MARCUS<\/p>\n Ange, come on. Zeb is cool. He risked his life to bring me that note and practically saved my life after the Vampire party. \u00a0I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re so worried about.<\/p>\n (Marcus stands up and starts to get ready to pack up camp)<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n ANGE<\/p>\n \u00a0I don\u2019t know\u2026 something just felt off. He was just weirding me out. \u00a0Don\u2019t you think it was weird Masha gave you the flashdrive so quickly before Zeb came? And then we saw Zeb going with Johnstone!<\/p>\n \u00a0 MARCUS<\/p>\n \u00a0Ange. I don\u2019t know why she is here, or how she even found out Zeb and Masha were still alive and would be here. I don\u2019t know what to think, and I\u2019m worried about it too. But if you\u2019re implying that Zeb is on Johnstone\u2019s side, well, you\u2019re out of your mind.<\/p>\n \u00a0(Ange stands up next to Marcus and looks at him)<\/em><\/p>\n ANGE<\/p>\n Come on, Marcus! Think about it. He gives you a note claiming to have shared a prison cell with Daryll, but he doesn\u2019t give you any information that makes it obvious he really knew Daryll. Then he escapes seamlessly from Gitmo-by-the-bay, \u00a0even with the tightest security this country has ever seen, and somehow tracks you down to give you the note? All without the DHS knowing about it? And then after the Vampire party you two find each other, set up camp under a random overpass, and the DHS find you within hours? It all sounds like too much to be a coincidence.\u00a0 And now, Johnstone shows up to Burning Man and runs into Zeb out of the blue? I may have misread her, but she doesn\u2019t seem like the Burning Man-type to me.<\/p>\n (Pause)<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>She has someone on the inside. And I think it is Zeb. I don\u2019t trust him.<\/p>\n \u00a0(Marcus pauses for a moment, and looks away from Ange. Marcus sits down.)<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>MARCUS<\/p>\n Ange. I really think you\u2019re reading too much into this.<\/p>\n ANGE<\/p>\n \u00a0Marcus, has Darryl even mentioned anything to you about Zeb?<\/p>\n \u00a0MARCUS<\/p>\n \u00a0No. But he never talks about his time in Gitmo. That shit really messed with his head.<\/p>\n \u00a0ANGE<\/p>\n \u00a0Well we need to talk to Darryl about Gitmo before I can trust Zeb. The way he just disappeared with Johnstone was a little suspicious. And I\u2019m worried for Masha. I didn\u2019t even really like the girl\u2026but I could tell she was scared about something.<\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n \u00a0Ah, alright Ange. We\u2019ll talk to Darryl as soon as we get home if it makes you feel better.<\/p>\n \u00a0ANGE<\/p>\n \u00a0Thank you. I\u2019m just worried we might be in danger too\u2026and I need to be sure Zeb isn\u2019t working for the DHS before I can trust him.<\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n Okay, I understand.<\/p>\n Marcus and Ange kiss. The scene fades to black. <\/em><\/p>\n The scene opens with Marcus and Ange knocking on the door to Darryl\u2019s house. They knock for a long time, with no answer to the door.<\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n Darryl! Open the door! It\u2019s Marcus!<\/p>\n (Marcus knocks again. Waits. Then just opens the door himself)<\/em><\/p>\n Marcus and Ange walk into the house and find Daryll sitting on the couch watching TV. Darryl looks unshaven, and is in his pajamas. Darryl is short with dark skin and dark hair.<\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n Dude, don\u2019t you know you\u2019re supposed to answer the door when someone knocks?<\/p>\n \u00a0DARRYL<\/p>\n \u00a0Sorry\u2026just didn\u2019t really want to see anyone.<\/p>\n ANGE<\/p>\n Sorry to bother you Darryl! It\u2019s my fault\u2026I dragged Marcus here. He knew you didn\u2019t want visitors. But we just wanted to check in and see how you were doing.<\/p>\n \u00a0(Ange and Marcu sit down on the chairs opposite the couch)<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>DARRYL<\/p>\n \u00a0Nah, you guys are fine. It\u2019s just my aunts and uncles and neighbors come over to see how I\u2019m doing every single day. It is so annoying. And I can\u2019t be bothered to answer the door anymore. But anways, how was the Burning Man?<\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n It was crazy, man! You would have loved it! We should go next year.<\/p>\n \u00a0ANGE<\/p>\n \u00a0Yeah, it was absolutely ridiculous. The art was so cool, and there were a lot of people there.<\/p>\n (pause)<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>We ran into some old people we knew from a few years ago. Marcus met them when the whole DHS thing was happening. Actually, I think you know one of them\u2026 (Pause briefly) <\/em>Do you know a Zeb, Darryl?<\/p>\n DARRYL<\/p>\n \u00a0Nope\u2026 Doesn\u2019t sound familiar. How do you guys know him? Did he go to Chavez?<\/p>\n Marcus and Ange look at each other, Marcus scratches his head. <\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0MARCUS<\/p>\n No\u2026he didn\u2019t go to Chavez. But I think you met him while we were still in high school.<\/p>\n (pause, Agnes touches Marcus as if to urge him to continue talking)<\/em><\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n Darryl, this guy I met during all the DHS chaos\u2026 His name is Zeb. He escaped from Gitmo and sent me a note. The note said that you were still alive, and that he shared a prison cell with you before he escaped. Are you sure you don\u2019t remember someone named Zeb?<\/p>\n Darryl pauses for a long time, and looks straight ahead at the TV for a long time.<\/em><\/p>\n DARRYL<\/p>\n They put me in my own cell. It was a way they tortured me\u2026not letting me talk to anyone. The only people I ever saw were the DHS people questioning me, bringing me food or changing my the bandages for my stab wound<\/p>\n \u00a0Agnes stands up suddenly as if she just had a great idea.<\/em><\/p>\n ANGE<\/p>\n Marcus, do you have your laptop with you? And the flashdrive?<\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n Yeah\u2026why?<\/p>\n ANGE<\/p>\n Let me see it.<\/p>\n (Marcus gives Ange the laptop and the flashdrive. Ange starts typing away. Darryl looks at them, confused) <\/em><\/p>\n MARCUS<\/p>\n What are you doing?
