In this production, was the \u201ccakewalk finale,\u201d which is when the audience participates in the end of the show by choosing the winner and its applause. As time goes on and the Cakewalk dance stays alive, people like Williams and Walker add in certain traits to the dance like the finale, giving the historic dance more meaning and value.
