Chapter 8: Clothes Closet

This is the Clothes Closet, which I believe is the largest room here at Sacred Heart Community Service Center.  I have donated several bags of my clothes her numerous of times. People come daily to donate clothing, children’s toys, bedding linens, accessories, books, and household items. Registered customers are allowed to browse and shop, free of charge, twice a month. We receive about 300 people daily here at the Clothes Closet.  Twice a month on the 1st and 15th from 9-10:30 A.M. we give out survival sacks are that contain underwear, socks, a washcloth, hygiene supplies, and a small blanket. People of all ages come here in search of a new outfit. They are not picky and know that most of the clothing has been worn before. Rather, they are appreciative for having the opportunity to receive new clothing.
