Chapter 6: Welcome Center

Right next to them we have another few desks with volunteers. I have had the privilege of actually volunteering here at the Welcome Center. Most of the people that come to Sacred Heart come for food and clothing. The Welcome Center is in charge of helping the homeless and needy that come in for these necessities. I make sure they are in our system and let them know what they will be receiving that day. Sometimes it becomes difficult because there is only so much we can help. You are only given the chance to use these utilities twice a month and many of the homeless become upset because they say the food w give them doesn’t last them all month.
