{"id":147,"date":"2016-05-26T12:02:46","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T19:02:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/jkipper\/?p=147"},"modified":"2016-05-26T12:02:46","modified_gmt":"2016-05-26T19:02:46","slug":"final-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/jkipper\/2016\/05\/26\/final-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Final Project!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Almost Done!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My school year is almost done, and as the quarter winds down, I&#8217;ve got many final projects and tests that are coming up. \u00a0In my english class, I&#8217;ve got to make a &#8220;multi-modal&#8221; presentation of a paper that I recently finished. \u00a0I&#8217;m planning on making a short informational video, that combines pictures with words and information about the research I did on diversity in education.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a couple videos similar\u00a0to what I will be making:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"World Water Day: Animated Short\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AxfEVXNm_-4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>What makes this video work as well as it does is the combination of words, pictures and sound. \u00a0The music keeps the audience engaged and the way that the text moves on the screen is also engaging. \u00a0I hope to make a video that is similar to this and I&#8217;m planning on using these same strategies to keep the audience engaged.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Timbang Wirasa- Short Informational Video\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wORZkmmmmuQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This video is a bit longer than the first one. \u00a0However, it keeps the audience engaged in a similar manner to the first one. \u00a0Instead of just having animation and words on the screen, this video has actual video interviews with people. \u00a0This is incredibly engaging, however if I am to do this, I need to be careful not to do it for too long and risk boring the audience. \u00a0Finally, the video has lots of text on the screen which can, if you&#8217;re not careful, make the audience not interested in the video.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Almost Done!
