Danah Boyd tries to\u00a0 discern what a blog is in her 2006 article \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/reconstruction.eserver.org\/064\/boyd.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">A Blogger\u2019s Blog: Exploring the Definition of a Medium<\/a>,\u201d published in the online journal <em>reconstruction: studies in contemporary culture.<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/jgrambow\/2013\/01\/11\/hello-world\/back-to-blogging\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5\" alt=\"Back-to-blogging\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/jgrambow\/files\/2013\/01\/Back-to-blogging-300x180.gif\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With over a decade of blogging experience Boyd sees blogs in many different contexts based on the specific author. She describes the short history of blogging and how it has been seen by the public. Through interviews with amateur, up and coming, and veteran bloggers, Boyd displays that it is almost impossible to give an accurate definition of what blogging is:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>More seasoned bloggers frequently find the definition question either irritating or futile. For every blog post trying to define blogging, there are just as many dismissing the effort itself.
