<\/p>\nToday while I was working on my research paper I started to do research on whether student athletes were stressed. And was trying to see if this was a reason for athletes to be drinking more. I believe it is just an excuse for people to go out and party, but that\u2019s just me. Maybe so they can \u201cforget\u201d about what they are dealing with. All the going to class, missing class, dealing with teammates, not preforming well on the court or field, all of these are reasons for athletes to find ways and excuses as to why they need to drink. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Some may say that it is the social scene that athletes find themselves in when they show up to college for the first time. Some may say it because of prior experiences, there are a multitude of reasons to explain why student athletes are now known to be one of the largest demographics for binge drinking.<\/p>\n

But when it really comes down to it, it is just their choice in the end, they don\u2019t have to go out and party when they are falling behind in school just so they can forget about it. But who knows I guess that\u2019s just me, I would wayyy rather catch up on my work rather than go out for a night to escape and run away from my issues. But that is just probably because how I was raised\u2026or I\u2019m just weird. I am not trying to say I am perfect either, I do get behind and get distracted when I should be doing other things. But oh well! It\u2019s human nature, everyone does it.<\/p>\n
