Surveys… I hate them honestly. I hate taking them, I don’t like trying to get people to fill my own out because I know how it is to fill them out. No one wants to do it. I mean come on, who really wants to take time out of their day to answer questions that in no way will in benefit them at all. So now that we have to do them for English class it should be interesting how I attack this assignment. I tried to make mine as simple and interesting to answer as I could. My idea for this survey was to try and make it fun and maybe a little thought provoking for the people to fill it out, just for the reason that I don’t want people to finish taking my survey and think to themselves that it was pointless for them to take that survey.

Since I am doing my paper on how life was in the 80’s compared to college life now, I want to see if I can get people to think about what life was actually like in the 80’s for college students and if they were actually interested in living in that time era. I mean at least when I think of stuff like that it kind of makes me interested in the topic. But then again, hardly anything I think of is the same thing other people are interested in.

My past experiences with surveys that I have tried to get people to take for research of my own have never been successful. That is why I skeptical of why this one will be different, but who knows, maybe it will be. People either would answer very shortly and seem uninterested or gave answer that made it seem like they were trying to give the best sounding answer. Something that would make everyone happy, no what their actual opinion was on the subject. This just made every survey seem bias and never people’s actual differing opinions.
