My first real research paper I ever wrote was for my final senior project. I had to write a 12-page paper on a subject that we had to an out of class project as well. So of course, I had to do something sports related. Because of the time I have spent playing baseball, it only made sense for me to do a research project on something that I am closer to an expert on then probably more than anything in my life. But of course I had to modify my research a little so that I did have some sort of information gathering. So I talked about the idea of nature verses nurture. I was able to pull up a ton of information about this subject and decided this is what I wanted to do. On top of being interested of this subject I was able to use my own body as my outside project by tracking my progress in my own sport as I nurtured my own skills.

The outside project was the easy part of this project, the writing part of it on the other hand, a little more difficult. The only reason this paper was so difficult for me was because it was the only legitimate research paper I have written in my life. The length of the paper and the amount of information I had to outline and put into academic writing was over whelming for me at first. Which is another reason I am kind of worried about this quarter of class, but hopefully I can ease my way into these different essays and complete them with confidence.
