The Global Social Benefit Fellowship

For third year students, the Miller Center Fellowship (formerly Global Social Benefit Fellowship) provides a comprehensive program of action research in social entrepreneurship.  Regardless of the pandemic, this fellowship will run in 2022 with remote engagements.

The deadline for registration is January 28, 2022.

Learn How Social Entrepreneurs Tackle the World's Most Significant Problems: ENGR 169B Social Entrepreneurship

This one-unit course examines the entrepreneurial mindset for social impact, and surveys the diverse global expressions of leadership. 

The course is composed of five 1-hour classes on Tuesdays, plus one 5-hour in-person class on Saturday February 5.

Intro to Social Entrepreneurship

SOCI 60 examines social entrepreneurship and innovation in the context of global and local social issues. Critical skills such as creativity, critical and ethical thinking, reflection, transformative communication, leadership, empathy, and teamwork, are enhanced. Students participate in a human-centered design thinking skills training, innovate a solution to a social or environmental problem, and create a business model canvas and case study of the innovation for the final project.

Fridays 11:45 am to 3:00 pm – 4 Units.

ENGR 169 - Social Entrepreneurship: Organizational Design

This 1-unit class is offered by the School of Engineering in collaboration with Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship. Students from any school or college are welcome. In Fall 2021, this course will be composed of five 1-hour classes on Tuesday evenings, 6-7pm, plus one 5-hour class. This is a Pass/No Pass course.

BVA's Upcoming Prep School
