🌍 International Business in Action:
Studying at Bocconi University, in Milan gave me a firsthand look at how global companies adapt to different markets. Each of my courses had such interactive curriculums, from analyzing Dolce & Gabbana’s brand identity in Milan’s fashion district to researching Home Depot’s potential expansion into India, this change of scenery helped me see the impact that cultural differences can have on business strategy. Being in a city where fashion, finance, and international business intersect made every lesson feel even more relevant. 💼👗

Tip: Take courses that are unique to your host country! Learning about global business in an international setting makes everything more meaningful. Also, visit local businesses, museums, and exhibitions—they’ll teach you just as much as your classes!

📚 Balancing Academics & Social Life:
Between coursework, group projects, and travel plans, finding balance was key. Bocconi’s challenging classes kept me on my toes, but I also learned to make time for aperitivo with friends, late-night gelato runs, and many spontaneous adventures. Studying abroad wasn’t just about academics – it was about personal growth, independence, and making memories that will last a lifetime. 💡🍹

Tip: Stay organized! Keep a planner or use Google Calendar to manage assignments and travel plans. Prioritize school, but don’t forget to enjoy your time abroad – you’ll never get these months back, so make the most of them!

🗺️ Exploring Beyond Milan:
One of the best parts of studying abroad was the chance to travel! Weekend trips took me from the sandy beaches of Mykonos to the canals of Amsterdam, and even the Christmas markets of Prague. Experiencing different cultures, trying new foods, and stepping outside my comfort zone are what made this semester unforgettable. There’s nothing like hopping on a train and ending up in a completely new place just a few hours later! 🚆🌍

Tip: Plan ahead, but leave room for spontaneity! Book major trips early for cheaper prices, but don’t overfill your schedule – you’ll want time to explore without feeling rushed. Also, embrace budget airlines and night trains; they’ll save you money!
