-A refection about how I compressed my long analytical essay into a concentrated blog.
I got frustrated and lost at first when I realized that I had to compress my long essay to a limited-topic blog. Not to mention that my long analytical essay was about “why females need to go to college” and I talked about so many perspectives in that essay, including improving personal ability, having a better understanding of this world, and females having the same rights as males. That was a wide topic and easily I could find myself with numbers of resources to support my ideas. But, my endless analysis will not work well in a blog because this blog is supposed to be read by various readers. That is to say that I have to make adjustments and make the blog really appealing to people.

It was tough for me to focus on some specific points from a long wide essay and at the same time I had to make efforts to make the topic of blog interesting enough that could grab readers’ attention. However, that’s the thing I have to do because that’s the core value of writing a blog-making people gripped by your blogs’ topics and contents.
I will not tell you that I literally searched: “how to make an interesting blog” before I started my first revised blog just in order to get some tips.
https://coschedule.com/blog/fun-to-read/ Here is the link actually helped me a little and offered me some clues about how to make my blog more attractive and interesting to be read by people.
Here are two tips I loved most and I actually applied these two tips in my blog.
- Make fun of yourself.

At first I really have no idea about how to make my blogs more interesting than a full-dress, serious and formal essay. I don’t know how to switch the argumentative and analytical essay tone to a funny and cozy blog tone. Not to mention that I believe that “Why Females Need to Go to College” is such a significant and imperative topic for people to pay attention to.
So I made my first change in my blog; I changed the topic from “Why Females Need to Go to College” to “Why I Need to Go to College”. I limited the range of the blog and made the topic more focus on myself instead of all females. I believe that this revision can make my blog more easy to understand for readers because people can have a deeper feeling if they can receive more personal experience examples from the writer instead of some strong argumentative evidence from various popular famous people.

Since I had changed the topic to myself, then it was simple for me to make some relaxing and funny jokes about myself and no need to worry about making the whole topic less serious and respectful. I made fun of my personal experience in the behavioral hospital(It was terrible indeed) but I think it offered an excellent example for my readers to understand my situation and the facts which made me have thoughts like: Why I should go to college.
- Make your post interactive

I shared links about the resources I utilized in my blog just in case that my readers want to learn more about them. This could also make my blog seem more credible and convincible. I also make some conversations with my readers directly in my blogs which provided the scene that I am just in front of them and not just some humdrum and dead bloggers who only exist in the screen.
I enjoy the feeling of making some funny talks with my readers through the blogs which made my blog seem more alive than some serious-dead researching articles. The talking I had with my readers shortened the distance I have with them.
I limited my topic from all the females to myself and gave the answers to my readers and myself in my revised blog: As a female college student, I believe that becoming a college student is the decision I made which I would never feel regret about it.
Just like what I said in my revised blog: college is not a medallion for my life, but it is a ticket which could help me enter a better life for sure.
The answers of why I go to college I figured out for myself are vital for me and I really hope they could offer some helps for my readers, too.
So finally I can say that I compressed my long analytical essay which looks like an Oreo(chocolate, cream made it look definitely something) to a concentrated compressed biscuit(not much ablaze but has some splendid meanings inside.)
This is a totally unique experience for me and I think it demonstrates to me a new form of writing-blogging. These blogs are definitely not like those serious formal long essays but magically contain lots of beautiful ideas.
