Through interviews and scholarly articles, it is apparent that many people in the general population believe that fluoride is good for their health. There is a misconception that fluoride in drinking water and topical fluoride are the same chemical and have the same effect on dental hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>The topic of fluoride in drinking water is highly controversial amongst the public, dentists, and even the government.
