These systems are focused on specific functional areas: finance, procurement, supply chain, HR, sales and marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Fitting in these applications into the legacy ERP system\u00a0is what we call today \u201chybrid ERP\u201d. The resulting ecosystem is a \u201cfit-for-purpose hybrid ERP software\u201d and it can have a multitude of combinations customized for the company\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, new operations are linked to the legacy ERP to form the Hybrid ERP:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Web and mobile storefront<\/li>\n<li>Sourcing and vendor contract management.<\/li>\n<li>Contingent workforce management.<\/li>\n<li>Workforce management and recruiting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-461\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/erpsystems\/files\/2016\/11\/hybrid.jpg\" alt=\"hybrid\" width=\"506\" height=\"436\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/erpsystems\/files\/2016\/11\/hybrid.jpg 506w, https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/erpsystems\/files\/2016\/11\/hybrid-300x258.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Source:\u00a0 Strategy&amp; analysis<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Saleforces.com-like applications are incorporated into the hybrid ERP and are replacing the classic\/traditional view of the system as organizations are becoming more flexible and more mobile. These new capabilities are integrated in the traditional ERP software ecosystem as \u201chybrid ERP\u201d systems to enable specific functions needed by the evolution of certain processes.
