Galveston Officials are Cracking Down on Those Who Litter on the Beach<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City of Galveston in Texas has been taking a tougher stance against pollution during the summer months. With litter items such as cigarette butts, plastic bags, styrofoam cups, and bottles left on the beach, wildlife and tourism can both be impacted severely. In order to deter further littering, fines for each littering instance could be up to $500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Thai national park, Khao Yai National Park, near Bangkok has made headlines for sending trash back to tourists. Tourists, who register at the park with their addresses, will be sent their trash back if they are found littering.
