The Ocean Cleanup

  1. The SeaShepard NorCal Chapter was started in 2011 in San Francisco. It extends from Santa Rosa to the North, Sacramento to the East, and Santa Cruz to the South.
  2. Their mission is to get people informed about ocean conservation and their foundation. They accept donations to help support their campaigns to defend ocean life worldwide. They have multiple different chapters in different parts of the U.S. This includes Austin, Baltimore, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Halifax, Jacksonville, London Ontario, New England, NYC, Etc. 

Pacific Beach Coalition

The Pacific Beach Coalition is dedicated to preserving ocean and wildlife, and ending litter. They are a powerful organization trying to gain positive change, and building a model for sustainable action among all ages. They try to do this through advocacy, education, community building, and citizen action in the Bay Area. There are many opportunities on their website that people can partake in. These include volunteering for a beach cleanup, becoming a member, attending meetings, donating, restoring native habitat etc. They have many different resources for people wanting to get involved and those who already have history in sustainable actions.


All One Ocean

All one ocean is a women run, small grassroots organization that aims to keep water healthy. Their mission is to educate the community about the devastating  impact of litter on oceans and waterways. Healthy water for all is the goal of All One Ocean. They have multiple programs, like educational education, beach cleanups, and beach clean up stations.
