“The Plastic Problem.” YouTube, uploaded by PBS Newshour, 27 November 2019, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RDc2opwg0I.

This PBS documentary highlights the many ways activists are helping solve the plastic problem. There are three large garbage patches in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, and that growth doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon until we all try to make a difference in our plastic consumption. Some activists have started their own grocery store that doesn’t use any single-use plastics, other activists are spending their careers creating biodegradable plastics that are easy and cheap to produce. This documentary, only about an hour long, is very educational and gives you a clear and concise understanding of the history of plastic, how it’s been affecting the life forms on this planet, and where we should go from here.
