During Santa Clara University’s Spring Break, I had the opportunity to attend a neighborhood clean-up event with the organization that hosts Trash Bash here in Houston. Since the event was online, they suggested cleaning-up your backyard or neighborhood to prevent storm water from washing loose pieces of trash into the storm drain. During my clean-up I saw some items the organization suggested not picking up such as syringes, but overall I felt very satisfied with my work. I aim to do clean-ups every now and then in order to keep my community clean and beautiful.
