During the pandemic, City Harvest is recusing perishable produce and aims to help NYC’s food insecure communities by providing educational training along with redistributing food. Even though over 85 food programs have closed in New York during the pandemic, City Harvest strives onward and remains committed to meeting their mission statement of “neighbors helping neighbors.” City Harvest has even opened seven emergency sites for NY’s food-insecure communities, and another twenty-two are on their way.
