A couple of weeks ago Santa Clara University hosted a week of talks called tUrn. It was a series of events by professionals and regular people dedicated to helping save the planet. I went to a couple of them, my first one was called “Climate Creativity”. This event was about teaching children how to respect and honor the resources our Earth gives us through the art of dance and conversation. I think it is so important to teach kids at a young age how valuable our land is because it can help change the current path our planet is on. Getting them started off early makes it easier for them to shift to a healthier lifestyle instead of relying on plastics and harmful materials and slowly try to wean themselves off of it.
If there are events near you that feature local environmentalists I suggest you go to them! It is important to learn how you can live a more sustainable lifestyle but it is easier when you can get tips from people in your area that have the same goals as you!
