As defined above, Culture is the collective set of values, beliefs, and and interests of a community. A community can be defined by its culture, but culture can also influence the members of that particular community. It is especially evident when community members live near each other, as culture is manifested more intensely when members are able to interact frequently on a physical level.

From the above definition, we can defineĀ Internet Culture as the manifestation of cultural values on the internet. In this way, it meets most of the criteria for culture, except the physical contact with community members and geographic location. Internet Culture consists of communities of like-minded individuals who’s primary, and mostly only, form of communication is via internet. Community members share ideas and concepts, relating to specific interests, which define the specific culture in question.
