About

Deer Hollow Farm is an educational 150 year old 10-acre cow
farm that serves as a reminder of how a traditional homestead operates. Deer Hollow continues to produceĀ  farm fresh eggs and seasonal produce that are available
for the public. The Farm is located inside the Rancho San Antonio open space preserve. About one mile in from the entrance. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Deer Hollow Farm requires the support of the surrounding communities in order to maintain its sustainable practices. The City of Mountain View provides Farm management and supplies; Mid-peninsula Regional Open Space District provides the land, buildings and
maintenance; the County of Santa Clara and
the cities of Los Altos Hills and Cupertino
provide Farm operations support. Friends of
Deer Hollow Farm funds Farm operations,
field trip scholarships, animal care and Farm improvements. Together these
community funding partners support the Farm with about
$500,000 per year. Friends of Deer Hollow Farm was founded in 1994. The five-
member all-volunteer board of directors and the many generous
donors all believe that Deer Hollow Farm is a rare Silicon Valley
community educational center that must be preserved and
supported.
