An internet culture, like any worldly culture, encompasses a broad range of belief systems, personalities, individuals, and defining characteristics. A certain culture can be made up of an entire race or a very small subsection of individuals with a common interest. Culture is inevitably intertwined with technology. Nayar talks about the symbiotic relationship between technologies and culture in which each in turn fuels the other.
A working definition of an internet culture could be an online community with a unifying characteristic, whether it be a set of values, a common idea, or a certain goal.

Pinterest is a very design-friendly site.
With this definition, Pinterest would be considered an internet culture for the design community. The design community has become intertwined with the internet, as a form of marketing for design products. Pinterest has created a new level of marketing tools, ones that make products easily accessible to the public.
“While cultures determine what forms of technologies develop, these technologies, in turn, shape cultures”.
In this case technology and culture have formed a symbiotic relationship like Nayar talks about. Design culture has shaped the nature of Pinterest and visa versa.
