{"id":56,"date":"2012-10-19T18:28:04","date_gmt":"2012-10-20T01:28:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/bjork\/?p=56"},"modified":"2013-04-21T19:56:15","modified_gmt":"2013-04-22T02:56:15","slug":"podcasts-around-the-bay-a-podcast-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.scu.edu\/bjork\/2012\/10\/19\/podcasts-around-the-bay-a-podcast-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Podcasts Around the Bay: A Podcast Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This podcast series was created by students in my <a href=\"http:\/\/webpages.scu.edu\/ftp\/objork\/138\/winter_12\/\" target=\"_blank\">Winter 2012 <em>Internet Culture in the Information Society<\/em> course<\/a>. \u00a0The students visited public places in the San Francisco Bay Area and used their smart phones to orally record what they were thinking and seeing.\u00a0 The students then edited podcasts from their recordings and wrote hypertexts about social or community issues related to the places they documented. \u00a0Finally, they embedded the podcasts in their hypertexts. \u00a0Links to most of these hypertexts\u00a0are available on a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/Rygp3\" target=\"_blank\">custom Google Map<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This project was inspired by the <a href=\"http:\/\/californialegacy.org\/radio_productions\/atlas.html\" target=\"_blank\">atlas<\/a> of radio scripts at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/californialegacy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">California Legacy Project<\/a>.
