Aldgate East is a stop on both the District Line (color coded green on the tube map) and the Hammersmith and City Line (color coded pink). Upon leaving the tube station, head down Aldgate High St. until you reach Osborn St. Take a left on Osborn St. and it will eventually turn into Brick Lane. You will know you have officially arrived when you pass through the ornamental gateway. The gateway is simply an arch adorned with intricate, twisting ironwork and topped with red, decorative, onion shaped bulbs.

IMAGES

<div style="width: 310px"
