Importance in Media

An important movie that came from vogue dance is called Paris Is Burning.  It is a very good movie, but can be quite vulgar at some points, so not for the younger audience.  We were required to watch this movie for our class, but if I had just stumbled upon it one day, I definitely would have watched it, start to finish.  It was very interesting to see how voguing developed throughout the eighties and then into the early nineties.  There were different ‘houses’ that performed in different categories and they all performed vogue.  Some of the categories were: business executives, town and country, pretty girl, school boy, school girl, etc.
