Welcome to our analytic hypertext. On this site, we will discuss the various ways people can be tracked with unseen surveillance systems. These types of tracking devices do not provide visuals (ie: pictures, live footage) to the surveillor or the person being surveilled, but provide them with information. We will also discuss how some of the ideas mentioned in Little Brother are quickly becoming a reality.

For those unfamiliar with the story of Cory Doctorow’s Little Brother, it is about Marcus Yallow, a high school student, and his friends who are involved in a battle with the Department of Homeland Security. Caught in a “wrong place, wrong time” situation, Marcus and his friends are suspects in the terrorist attack on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Little Brother focuses on social activism and civil liberties, but pays special attention to different types of surveillance and the extent of observation.
Some of the ideas that we will be discussing are types of surveillance systems, ranging from cameras to e-mail monitoring to cell phone tracking, as well as how it affects us in our daily lives.
This site will contain the following pages: Device Tracking, Internet Tracking, Nanotechnology, Little Brother Analysis & a Video to sequel the end of Little Brother.
